Site 7 Site 7 Site 7

Project Description

Work included installation of four Arsenic Adsorption Contactors, concrete containment and wash down areas. CCI constructed a new booster pump station, concrete equalization basin, associated piping, chlorination system, precast electrical building, and complete electrical & instrumentation package. Site improvements include grading, landscaping and masonry site wall. Raw water and Well Waste pipelines were installed consisting of 4,000lf of buried ductile iron pipe. At the existing Well Site #7 CCI refurbished 2ea 500,000gal reservoirs, replaced pumps, and modified piping.

The Site 7 Arsenic Treatment Facility is a regional well treatment compound servicing the area surrounding the City of Scottsdale Airpark. Raw groundwater is fed from 3 remote well head discharge sites to the Arsenic Absorption Contactors from the cast in place concrete influent flow equalization reservoir, vertical turbine booster pump station, chlorination system, electrical, instrumentation and control system with SCADA, twin steel reservoirs, landscaping, fencing and irrigation. Finish potable water is delivered from this site to the City of Scottsdale water distribution system in compliance with minimum arsenic standards. CCI worked closely with the City of Scottsdale on this traditional design/bid/build project through value engineering, product evaluation, and equipment standardization. CCI assisted the City of Scottsdale with selection and piloting the GAC media in order to select the best match for the raw water conditions. This effort worked to avoid costly change orders and corrections further down the road in the contract. It also allowed the City to standardize on GAC media as a pilot for their future purchases.
